Some Updates

I’ve been staying off the internet as much as possible since I got back from Europe, but I spent a little time tonight doing some updates. You’ll find new photos in the Scapes and People sections. The photos are a mix of new and old stuff, but pretty much all film. Every time I look at a photo shot on film next to a digital photo, it doesn’t even compare. I need to shoot more film!

I went riding for the first time in a few weeks yesterday. I fell in England and smashed my hand pretty good. I never went to the doctor, so I have no idea if I broke anything, but it was definitely swollen for a long time… Actually, it still is. I was just able to cruse around and do some nibbles and the weather was soooo nice. In the morning I met up with Wade and his friend Nick. We headed out to the Po-Co park for a short session, then we headed downtown to meet up with David Lang, Andy Chung, Jay Miron, and JQ from SBS and his wife for a nice Sea Wall cruise. This was my first Sea Wall cruse of the year and damn was it nice! After doing the whole loop, Andy, David, Wade, Nick and I rode a little hump at a playground and the Cambie benches for the rest of the night. Not sure what I’m up to for this week, but Wade and I are going to head down to Bellingham on Saturday morning to ride with Andrew McMullen and then check out The Roots that night. Should be dope!

Three Weeks in Europe

I just got back from a nice trip to Estonia and England. I was out there for a BMX contest going on in Estonia and since me and a few of the MacNeil guys were out there, we hung out in Brighton for a bit. MacNeil’s English distributor, Seventies, rented this amazing penthouse apartment in Brighton for six months and they are bringing a bunch of riders from all over the world out to film for web videos and a DVD they will release at the end of their stay.

I did daily updates on the MacNeil site that you can check out here and I just posted a big gallery of all my photos from Estonia on Defgrip, that you can check out here. I shot around 1,000 photos on the trip and I’m really psyched on some of the stuff I got. Since I’ve been back I’ve just been catching up on everything that I fell behind while I was gone, but for some reason, I spent the whole night tonight organizing my rss feeds… I’m retarded. There is an online magazines called five15 that did an interview with me about art, design and BMX. Check it out here.
