Europe Tour

I’m out in England right now with the MacNeil team. We are spending a week in England at the Brighton house, then we are taking the train down to Paris on Saturday and road tripping down to Montpellier for a contest on the 30th. I’ll be back home for one day, then heading down to Mexico for Red Bull Elevation… We’ve been doing video blogs over on the MacNeil site. We’ll be doing some sort of video every day from the trip. Should be good! Check em out here.

Chris in Town

David Lang, Chris Martindale, and Andy Chung at UBC.

Think pole jam to ice??

Chris Martindale came through Vancouver on Friday on his way to Vancouver Island to visit some of his family. He met me out at the office and after grabbing him some new parts, we headed out for a day of riding. We hit the big park in Burnaby first, neither of us had been their before and we had a blast. There was no one there when we showed up and it was pretty chill the whole time we were there. They have a dope street section, a decent bowl/full pipe, and a dope hip/wedge/snakerun type section. We rode there for a few hours, then headed downtown to meet up with Andy Chung and David Lang. We spent the rest of the day at UBC and it was pretty crazy. They were having their end of the year campus party and I’m pretty sure we chose the busiest day of the year to go there… We were able to hit some of the chill parts of the campus and we had a blast. It’s crazy how tired I got… I didn’t really realize it, but the last time I rode all day, was when I was in England and my arms were sooo worked. I’m pretty sure all we did all day was bunny hop… I’m still feeling it now!

Some Books

A few books just showed up that I ordered from youworkforthem.com I went on the site looking for the Evan Hecox book and for some reason, when I order stuff online, I always seem to add to my order. My thinking is, if I’m spending, say $20 on shipping (living in Canada sucks for shipping), why not pick up a few more books?? So, I ended up with the Evan Hecox book, a Peter Saville book, and an old issue of Relax magazine from like 2002.

New Computer

Travis Collier by Harrison Boyce

I picked up a new MacBook a few days ago. Definitely a nice upgrade from my vintage 12 PowerBook… I got the 2.4ghz version and upgraded to 4 gigs of ram… This should keep me happy for a few more years. This is my first computer that’s running Leopard and I’m super psyched on it. Just need to spend some time installing it on my other machines. I want to do complete re-installs, so I need a solid weekend with no work to get this done. The same day I got my computer, I rode with Travis Collier and David Lang for a bit. We hit the QC park (my new favorite park. A shitty little street park pretty close to my house), then headed to Sammy Hot wings (the best food in town), and ended the day with a little session by the waterfront. The weather’s been shitty so I haven’t had a chance to ride my new bike… Hopefully I’ll get a session in this week.

I just put together a new bike and put a bunch of photos on the MacNeil site… I have three complete dialed bikes right now… Is that bad?
