Lightning bolts progress
I finished up all the background colors. Tomorrow I’m going to work on the numbers. I need to figure out what to do with that white outline. It’s not there in that original photo.
Lightning Bolts
I started to work on my number plate for the Nike show. Not sure how this concept will turn out, but I’m doing a color collage based off one of the very first number plates Bob Haro made. Greyboy actually has it and I have a good pic to base it off of. Here are some photos of where I’m at now. I’ll post more as I make more progress.
Update overdue
I’ve been super busy the past few weeks with a bunch of new freelance projects. I really need to carve out some time to finish up designing my site because I kind of abandoned it right in the middle.
Last week Michaela and I went down to Seattle to hang out with everyone and so I could get a suit for our wedding… We are getting married in January… Coming up soooo fast!! We went to Barney’s with Josh, Shanti, and Chris Martindale… We took over the whole dressing room and had a blast. I ended up getting a suit form this brand called Spurr… I guess it’s some dude who used to work at Doir. Psyched none the less… It’s my first suit and it was 40% off!! Now I just need some shoes, and shirt and a tie… Maybe even a pocket square.
Other than that, we chilled at Chris and Casey’s and played some poker, helped my mom move into a new art space she’s renting, so she can start painting more. Then Sunday night, we went to my dad’s and got wrapped into a heavy game of Monopoly that lasted four hours!! haha… Here’s some photos.

Some new Clarks Desert Boots!

My sisters and Michaela at my Dad’s.

LA to Vancouver
Los Angeles was a blast! We did so much in our short trip and I can’t wait to go back. Here’s a few photos from my phone… It’s funny, because the more I go down to California, the less I take photos… My first trip this year, I took hundreds of photos and this last trip I took a few riding shots and a few digi shots with my Leica… No film and I even drug my Canonet with me… Oh well… Next trip I should only shoot film.
In LA
Down in LA again! Jay and I drove down to Seattle so I could vote and I was so psyched to be in the States durrimg the election. So much energy!! We flew Virgin America, ha a nice flight, then as soon as I got in town, I headed over to the Ludwig office to chill with those guys. We have a bunch of stuff planned and we are heading to Oakley now. Should be a good trip!
