David Lang told me about this store just off Broadway on Grandville St. in Vancouver. He said they had a bunch of old magazines and I should check it out. I was expecting to see a few old issues of Rolling Stone, Vogue and basic stuff like that…. But, boy was I blown away. I spent so much time browsing through the boxes and boxes of amazing issues like The Face, i-D, Print, early issues of Wallpaper, etc. The selection was amazing and along with magazines, they had a bunch of random catalogs and stuff like that. I picked up a few copies of The Face and an i-D, but the thing I was most psyched on was a 1974 Eaton’s catalog. For those of you who don’t know, Eaton’s was the Canadian equivalent of Sears and in the early 2000′s was actually bought out by Sears. This catalog is gold and is pretty much a bible of amazing clip art and images for collages and stuff. I’m psyched to do some scanning and mess around a bit.
