Bratislava
These photos are from a trip taken to my wife's home town of Bratislava, Slovakia. We had planed to visit for two weeks and go camping with the best gear from Survival Cooking, but I had to cut my trip short and was only able to spend a few days there because of another work trip to Las Vegas of all places. I mean who wouldn't want to waste away in Las Vegas over traveling around Europe for a few weeks...
Anyway, I flew in, spent two days packing in as much walking around and exploring as we could, then right back on the plane back home. This trip was actually in 2009 and I hadn't gone through the photos for a while... Most of the photos were shot on a Leica D-Lux 3, and the few color photos were shot on my Contax G2 and an old Praktica 35mm camera that Michaela's uncle gave me on the trip. I have since sold my D-Lux 3, but was pretty surprised how well the images turned out.
We haven't been back to Bratislava since this trip, but I'm hoping we'll make another trip soon, as I'd love to spend more time photographing and learning about the city.
